With the willing help of enthusiastic volunteers who help with the function and coordination of our church services we always appreciate more volunteers to help spread the workload. The following activities help everything run smoothly during our church service and the people who oversee them provide an invaluable service to our congregation:
Hall Setup and Takedown
Nothing happens without preparation. Before and at the completion of our meetings Bruce Edmunds, with Dan Holiove and Ken Seto assisting, ensure that everything is ready to go before we begin and taken down when finished.
Greeting Team
We like to make everyone feel welcome when they attend our services. Emily Szczepulsk and Mary Wilkie are responsible for handing out the bulletins and making people feel at home when they first arrive.
Sound/Multimedia
Mark Szczepulski and Jim Laughlin faithfully coordinate our sound and multi-media needs each service to ensure all systems function well.
Bulletin
To ensure that announcements are kept to a minimum during church services our weekly bulletin is the source for info for the membership. Info for the bulletin and calendar is coordinated by Roy Page, proof read by Heidi Naman and printed by Bill Wilkie.
Refreshments and Potlucks
Essential to building Christian community is fellowship, and doing so while "breaking bread" as scripture calls it, is the most pleasant way to build friendships. Dorothy Antle, Anne Kyle, and Els Verhiel faithfully ensure that our members and guests are taken care of each week with food provided by members of the congregation.
Tape Library
For members who do not have access to the internet, including shut-ins, and those in outlying areas too far to attend meetings, Dan Holiove faithfully makes taped copies of the sermons. These are available each week from the tape library or are mailed to those who cannot access them on a regular basis.
