Grief Support Group: Family, friends and churches encircle the griever in the immediate days surrounding the death of a loved one. GriefShare is designed to help in the long months after the funeral, when those around the griever return to "normal" lives.
Christ-Centered & Biblical: GriefShare helps group members apply biblical principles to the healing process after the death of a loved one. Throughout the videos and workbook, participants see how the gospel brings hope and restoration.
Trusted: Since 1996, GriefShare has equipped more than 17,000 churches worldwide to help communities. The GriefShare materials feature 46 leading Christian experts on grief recovery topics.
Life-Changing & Effective: Leaders report that GriefShare is consistently effective in helping grievers rebuild their lives. As group members heal, some desire to assist in leading GriefShare themselves.

New Life Christian Fellowship is beginning a GriefShare support group starting Saturday, February 9th to provide help and healing for anyone after the death of a spouse, child, family member or friend. Meetings will be held weekly at 12:30 p.m., Saturday afternoon at Legacy Church of the Nazarene, 9012 160 St., Surrey. Sessions will run for 13 consecutive weeks.
This program is non-denominational but features biblical concepts to help participants heal from their grief. Sessions will be led by Keith and Barbara Roberts who have both experienced the trauma of losing a spouse.

Life Groups: 
New Life Christian has 6 Life Groups in the Lower Mainland. Groups are located in New Westminster, White Rock, Delta, Langley, Abbotsford, and meet every second week in the evening. We also have a Surrey group which meets here at Legacy Church on Saturdays. You are always welcome to attend.
We are excited to launch a new 6-session DVD series put out by Mark Mittelberg, Lee Strobel and Bill Hybels in our Life Groups, starting mid-September. The study is entitled:

Life Groups: New Life Christian has 6 Life Groups in the Lower Mainland. Groups are located in New Westminster, White Rock, Delta, Langley, Abbotsford, and meet every second week in the evening. New Life Christian Fellowship is beginning a DivorceCare support group starting Saturday, September 23. to provide help and healing for anyone aftera separation or divorce. Meetings will be held weekly at 1 p.m., Saturday afternoon at Legacy Church of the Nazarene, 9012 160 St., Surrey. Sessions will run for 13 consecutive weeks.
This program is non-denominational but features biblical concepts to help participants heal from the hurt of separation and divorce. Sessions will be led by Johannes and Juliet Breytenbach. Hannes has experienced the trauma a previous divorce.

Life Groups: We are very excited to be launching our life groups in New Westminster, Delta, White Rock, Langley, and here at Legacy church on Saturdays. Please sign the lists in the foyer today if you haven't already done so. We will all be studying a new group Bible Study called "God's Answers to Life's Difficult Questions" by Rick Warren.

How does God provide direction to the common issues that we face?
We live in a world where we all have to deal with the realities of stress, failure, crises, loneliness and change.

Picnic In the Park
On Saturday, August 26 we will have our annual outreach picnic in Bear Creek Park. This will replace our service at Legacy. Park in the lots off 88 Ave, behind the Surrey Arts Centre. We'll try to get tables close to the parking. The fun starts at 9:00 am. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and enthusiasm as we reach out to our community. Along with a casual worship session and intentional conversations, we will share free hot dogs, drinks, and watermelon. Don't miss this excellent opportunity to relax, play together, pray together, worship together, and hopefully share your story—what your life was like before you came to know Jesus, how you came to realize that you needed God in your life, and how has your relationship with Jesus changed you. You Are Invited!: Have you recently started attending New Life Christian or have you moved into the area? Are you new to our fellowship? After worship services on June 10 we will be presenting a membership class where you can learn about Grace Communion International and our local congregation, New Life Christian.

Membership Class
TODAY after church we will have our first Membership Class. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about our denomination, our beliefs, and what it means to be member in New Life Christian Fellowship. If you are considering baptism or want to find our more about our church, JOIN US TO TODAY. The class will take place in the Graham Room, and will have an interactive format. Refreshments will be served. This is a one-session class and we encourage all members to eventually attend one. We plan to offer this one-session class 2-3 times a year.
